Too many players seem to feel their primary role is to keep their position and once they pass the ball they've done their job.

This leads to fullbacks, most of the midfield and even wingers at times being behind the ball and absolutely no option but to turn backwards and take the safe pass and recycle via centre backs to start again. Only other option is to run into 3 or 4 opposition players and inevitably lose it as we saw a few times tonight.

Wolves, Forest, Bournemouth and Southampton would drown in dribble at the thought of Gordon or DCL playing for them.

A couple of them would get modestly excited at Rondon lurching onto the pitch for them.

Decent (or even average) prem forwards are rare.

It was bad last season and we’ve lost Richarlison. Gray, Gordon, Maupay is up there with the worst. Gray, McNeil, Maupay is up there with the worst. DCL is starting PL quality. Apart from DCL look at the prem goal record of our forwards it’s terrible - why would anyone have expected these 1 in 5, 1 in 10 a game players suddenly start scoring 10/15 goals a season.
