Player Valuation: £40m
I was curious what the general opinion was towards Pienaars contract issues, and whether you lads actually want him to play for us anymore.

I'm not asking if we need him, or if he is a good player. I'm simply asking if we want him.

Has he become unpopular with the fans now? ( don't forget to vote ) :)

fukk the bad weapon off.....

He's been [Poor language removed] at the world cup and we should sell.

Or offer him 25k a week...

At one point, I just wanted rid of him

Now, if he's prepared to be humble, and accept whatever deal we give him, i'd be delighted for him to stay.

If he wont sign, then he can fcuk right off

I still want him here, until he says he wants to leave (which I know he's kind of already done with the whole contract after the world cup) but, I think he'll see sense and stay. Then hopefully we'll all be loving him again!

I admit I wanted him out at one point....as I could see a Lescott scenario happening

Of course. Until I see him go out in media and say that he wants to move away from here or he start to throw dirt on Moyes, the club or the other players he's more than welcome. Agent states things all the time to get a better deal for their client and earn more money themselves, there's nothing new there. So far Pienaar has, to my knowledge, not said anything about him wanting to leave.

He is creative and we don't have many players in our squad that is creative enough.

People jumped the gun and started to criticise him really, nothing to do with his attitude or wrong doing. Lots of contract's drag, it's not an uncommon situation. How long did Saha take to sign his? I remember Yobo taking a long time to sign his a year or two ago. Anything can happen really, if he wants to leave let him go, but we are not at that stage as of yet.

Hes never actually came out and been critical of the club, or engaged in Lescott style melphness in fact the opposite.

So i would be made up if he signed a new contract, though im more concerned with Arteta to be honest Pienaar is replaceable - Miky isnt.

If he signs, great, we have a fantastic player. If not, we make £8m-£10m+ on a player we signed for £2m. I'm resigned to losing him, i don't care though, it wouldn't bother me nearly as much as if Arteta left.

I was the second "no" vote for only one reason - there is absolutely nothing stopping Pienaar from leaving on a free in less than a year's time, which he could leverage against his future employer to get that wage increase. I think it's entirely possible for him and his agent to postpone negotiations until January, when he can enter negotiations with other clubs and try starting a bidding war, which Everton can't win. The only way to be certain that we'll get something for him is by selling him now.

depends, if the lad want to stay then yes I'd like him to where royal blue again but if he want out [Poor language removed] him off and lets spend the doh on some one who can fill the gap, witsel or deflour

Is it worth keeping though, considering we paid around 3 mill for him. What he brings to the team and the potential success.

Rooney was a good player but got a little ahead of himself. His departure signalled a new beginning for the club IMHO. Pienaar is also a good player but, the club is bigger. Love him to stay but, if he's undecided, then time to go. No more Lescott/Rooney type departures thank you!

Also, if he does sign up again, I'd be advising him to get a new manager or, to tell his manager to shut his big fat trap!
