I would like him to stay but not at any price. I do not like the club being held to ransom. A very good offer was made and he needs to clear his head. If he thinks he can get more with another club, so be it and sell him now. Another year and he will be 29 so will he be that wanted? Perhaps by the likes of the Toons, Blacburn etc.

I think if he was 33 yes maybe he would only be wanted by Newcastle and Blackburn, but he's at the prime age now to sign a 4-year with a new club of a higher class than those two.

I'd love him to stay but only if he wants to be here. We don't need another lescott hanging around wanting a move and pissing off the whole squad. We need a good start this year. Besides I don't think any clubs that he would want to go to that could afford him want him anyway.
