The new woman I use comes to the office and does mine so I don't even have to make any effort, charges me £16 for hair and a beard trim and I give her £20

Great idea to go to customers rather than rely on them coming to you.

Yeah you have to tip your barber although it is easy money for a buzz cut.

Usually round it up to the nearest £5. Mine was £11 gave £15, now gone up to £13 but £15 is still to the nearest £5.

I have the stylist clean up my beard and wash my hair if I didn't do it myself, so it's definitely worth a tip. Usually around $5 or so.

Proper event when you have a young lad and do the double barber outing. Lad finishes early and causes carnage. I only tip if the lad now gets a sweet. Surprised they haven’t banned barbers giving young kids sweets for free by now.

I used to love playing haircut roulette when in the navy on deployment. Had some absolute honking haircuts abroad when barbers haven’t got a clue what you want.

Worst I ever got was in kings bay, Jacksonville. Considering we both spoke fluent English, they to a 2 short back and sides as a Lloyd Christmas bowl head.

My hair cut is £17.50 so I round it up to £20. Doesn’t make much difference to me but I like to think if everyone did the same it’d make a difference to the barber.

I’m not a fan of tipping culture at all, but good barbers aren’t easy to find and they deserve a little extra.
