Do you tip your barber/hairdresser

I’ve been going to the same lad since I was about 18, he’s worked in numerous different places since then, he always gets a tip though.

He was on away last year just as I was going on holiday myself, so I had to go to the barbers in L1 one night after work. I told the lad what I wanted, but he proceeded to give me what seemed to be the only haircut he’d been trained to do, and I came out looking like every other lad who was in their at the same time and got charged twenty odd quid for the privellage.

Obviously I’m a massive shithouse and said “yeah it’s sound that mate, nice one.”

He didn’t get a tip though, so I feel like I won that one.

I go to a Kurdish barber. They're nice lads and understand what middle aged men need, so they shave your eyebrows and singe the hair off your ears. They charge £8, just gone up from £7. I was tipping them a quid, but didn't this time as £8 is about right in my book. Now I know you lot are paying £20 I might have to rethink!!

I saw the word lineker and immediately assumed this was @LinekersLegs post as I read it, which seemed a bit out of character and if I'm honest a little arousing.

My hair always grew so fast it was a trip to the barber every fortnight. Still got a good head of hair but it grows more slowly now, so maybe once a month. Italian barbers. Most of them speak normal English (obviously born and bred here) but are all fluent in Italian too, even the Japanese lady. Cost £15, give a £2 tip.

My barber used to charge £8 and a £1 tip . He’s now increased his prices to £12 but will still get a £1 tip.

I don't know whether it started as a tip or I didn't want to hang around waiting for a quid in case he thought I was a tight arse.
