New York Times have done a documentary called 'Framing Britney Spears' which is getting quite a lot of attention at the moment, I've no idea what it's about though beyond the obvious implication in the title.

Yeah, quite popular, even spawning some memes. Mostly about her dad, who basically controls every aspect of her financial life and won't let go, despite her being an adult. I have yet to watch it but a few of my friends, who's I trust, say it is pretty good.

It's worth seeing, it's quite harrowing, actually is a good example of how much mental health awareness has moved forward over the last decade.

Estonia on Discovery +. Brilliant series and eye opener about the ferry that sank with over 800 dying. Definitely a cover up. How they get away with it I’ll never know.

The Estonians, Finns, Swedes and ourselves in MI6 should be ashamed that they continue to deny what went on.

An absolutely brilliant series that I have thoroughly enjoyed watching. It's a long watch with ten episodes and coming in at just over seventeen hours.

It's made by PBS America, so it's available in the UK through Sky and Virgin.
It’s now on YouTube on Ken Browns’ YouTube channel

Anyone see ‘class action park’??? It’s on sky documentaries. Sums up how mental the 80s was. What an absolute crazy place that was. The HSE would have an absolute field day if that was occurring nowadays.

Yeah I thought it was great. Absolute madness that it was ever allowed to open in the first place, let alone stay open for so long

If you ever read about the history of 321 EOD over in NI, you can only have the greatest respect for these men with the biggest cojones.

The Felix boys and girls are the most decorated unit in the entire army for a unit that's relatively small.

King Rocker – A film about Robert Lloyd & The Nightingales

Currently showing on Sky Arts

Comedian Stewart Lee's documentary about Robert Lloyd, frontman of The Nightingales and The Prefects

I absolutely loved this, despite not really being a fan of either band

Anyone who likes stories about individuals who do things on their own terms and operate outside of the mainstream will enjoy this

Funny and heart-warming

I've not seen it, but I have heard about that park. About a year I think before that documentary came out the co host on a radio/podcast show I listen to was talking about that park. I definitely will watch it at some point. If I can find the clip of him talking about it I'll edit it in here.

Can't get you out of my head.

The latest 6 part series from Adam Curtis, who in my opinion is the best documentary producer this country has ever produced.
All of his documentaries are superbly written and presented.

He spells out how and why we are in the state we are, as a people and as a society.

Absolutely riveting with a fantastic, eclectic music selection.

Available on Youtube and whatever the Beeb is calling the iplayer nowadays.

The rest of his material is well worth checking out, too.

Strong praise considering David Attenborough is still kicking but yes, Curtis is fantastic.
Hypernormalisation, pfft, riveting stuff.

Another masterful series from a brilliant documentary maker. Never less than challenging in his views and his programmes are always thought-provoking.
