I watched a 3 part series on PBS America, The Balkans in Flames, about the break up of Yugoslavia and subsequent wars. Presented without taking sides and explaining each conflict in chronological order , highly recommend it.

I watched that, you could easily see in the future the Balkans again being a hotspot. The UN didn't exactly cover themselves in glory.

Excellent 3 part series on Ulysses S Grant.

Grant is a fascinating figure. Highly recommend Ron Chernow’s recent biography...over 1000 pages iirc but well worth it

Just watched that new documentary "Manson: Music From an Unsound Mind", brilliant, it's about his music, touched on the murders a bit but the main focus is the music scene that Manson was tappjng and who he was befriending, also interviewing a few people who were around and involved.
It's on Sky Arts, worthy of 2 hours.

An absolutely brilliant series that I have thoroughly enjoyed watching. It's a long watch with ten episodes and coming in at just over seventeen hours.

It's made by PBS America, so it's available in the UK through Sky and Virgin.

Star has been added to Disney Plus and with it a load of ESPN 30 for 30 doc's, this is excellent news, fantastic series.

Watched a 30 for 30 soccer documentary called White, Blue and White, about Osvaldo Ardilles and Ricardo Villa, who came over from Argentina in 1981 to play for Spurs; they did well and were much loved, but then had to deal with the Falklands war, where Ardilles cousin was killed. Decent. There's also one on the Loughinisland Massacre.

New York Times have done a documentary called 'Framing Britney Spears' which is getting quite a lot of attention at the moment, I've no idea what it's about though beyond the obvious implication in the title.
