Just finished watching “The Speed Cubers”.. great story of friendship over and above the competitive spirit between the best 2 in the world...

Watched one last night called Riding Giants, by Stacy Penalta, about old surfers, was really good. Lots of old archive footage from the 50s and 60s, bit like Dogtown and the Z Boys.

I watched 'there's something wrong with Aunt Diane' at the weekend, about a woman returning from a camping trip with 5 kids who for some reason decides to drive the wrong way down the highway at 80mph smashing into an oncoming car, 8 people killed in total, tragic stuff.

I saw this, it was awful! The vodka bottle, the spliff at the side of the road, things she did completely out of character. Such an odd story with an awful ending.

Yes it was bizarre, she seemed to be fine when she was captured on the CCTV in the petrol station just before it happened.

Feels good Man, documentary on the first meme, Pepe the frog and how it's been adopted as a symbol of hate. Excellent documentary, would thoroughly recommend

Watched a couple of old Art documentaries yesterday on YouTube about stolen and fake Art; not everyones' cup of tea but it was interesting to learn just how much artwork has been stolen and also how many fake pieces are knocking about.

Fakes in the art world - The mystery conman

An important documentary that every collector of antiquities should watch. This explains how a lack of provenance can often mean 'fake' and that many art dealers know that before they offload it to auction. What is not explained is how this forger (one probably cannot say master forger when you look at some of the pieces once they are under suspicion) actually managed to get them on the market.

The World's Most Expensive Stolen Paintings

"What is it about art theft we can't resist?" is just one question posed by host and art critic Alastair Sooke in this BBC documentary about some of the most notable high-stakes art robberies on record. Sooke strives to learn more about those who commit art theft, their motivations, and how it is that so few pieces are ever returned to their rightful owners.
