Do you want to be in the clique, Steevie ?

Me, No mate. I interact with new posters just has much as members that have been on here for quite a while. I believe in equality, giving respect and mingling. Why should i just concentrate on posters that have 1,000+ posts to their name when we have newer members coming on here all the time? I never would be in a clique because i am my own person that does'nt cling to one particular group.

My last word on this , is I peronally found the Chat-Box most cliquey . Ive seen people , ( not nec' myself ) attempt to respond - initiate topics , but because they were not first 11 clique , they were just blanked , sometimes with their point hijacked and carried on .
THAT , to me , was a little out of order .
Hardly any of us actually know each other or have even met . How the fuk do we know whos the good lads / girls , and who's not ???
This is the only forum upon which I post . I am a member of B.K. Facebook , etc , but have rarely , if ever , even visited my page / the site .
THIS was different . It semed about the footie , foremostly .
I inadvertently clicked ( see what I did there ??? ) on a members usrname instead of the topic . It took me to their Friends / Groups etc . It said it all about cliques for me . But then again , Ive never joined any groups or whatever , so perhaps Im biased . I dont really know .

And there was me thinking LCAB was the head of the clique

Thats one reason I removed the chat box though mate. A few members would carry on discussion from there into the forums and it would confuse everyone.

Have a closer nose at them. The member profiles are were you can leave messages to that member. It saves loads of direct posts like me just putting one on the forums asking you a question.

The groups are a bit pointless but mainly for Evertonians in different areas of the country. Like theres a London group and its easier for them to say what pubs the match is on etc. http://www.grandoldteam.com/forum/groups/all.html

You could argue literally every forum to have a clique - the clique being the members with the highest post counts as naturally, they'll dominate/be involved with most discussion.

To hopefully put this to bed once and for all, here is a poll in an attempt to find out if you believe a clique exists here. Now, this is no attempt to start problems, just merely to express what you feel. Not mentioning those that may be in this clique would be a good idea to maintain peace. Hope i am doing the correct thing here.

Maybe there is maybe there isnt. Personally I've never seen any evidence of it or it could be that I'm oblivious to it. Anyway I've voted "no" to it.

The one that really gets on my nerves is the rep thing on here, not the rep system itself, but the 'comment' someone can make anonymously if they so choose. So someone can give you the bad rep and leave a comment like 'stop talking bollix you complete fcuking tool' and you cant respond to the criticism. At least MikelsGoat leaves his initials when he's just bollocked you. (y)

Cue a million neg reps + anonymous abusive comments...probably from the clique...if they exist, that is....which they maybe dont. :bye:

If anyone leaves abuse like that please report it. We can search the comments and if any is spotted they have the reputation giving permission removed.

Forum Supporters can see the comments left by the way, so next time your at the match, give me 10p towards the hosting fees and i'll sort you out (y)

The rep system will be changed next season.

i wondered why every one was going on about the snide who left bad rep in others names. i thought everyone could see who left rep. tbh the only time it happened to me it was chico... name and shame buddy!! lol!!

I think the "anon" thing sometimes happens because, as Danny says, if you are a Supporter you can see who is writing anyway (hint) so it doesn't particularly occur to you to "sign" reps.

I think it's essentially a destructive and divisive forum add-on, which is not to say I haven't used it one way or another as I have grown more used to it!

Far more relevant anyway, I would have thought, would be the Ignores (which I assume can be seen by Admins and factored into decisions about members).
