I don't think they are which was the problem with promoting DBB to the board. We chose to make that the main focus when we did and it has cost us heavily since as there is no-one there to really scrutinise the football side of the club.

All in all EiTC is great and should be celebrated, but the club needs to be restructured so the football matters most.
EITC should carry on, but at the moment it looks like the tail is wagging the dog and the dog should be the most important part but Baxindale doesn’t know how to run the football club.

For another measure of this club's awful, embarrassing failure, let's recall that since its founding Everton has been out of the top division for a total of four (4) seasons.

I shall have a 4 tattooed on my forehead so all may know my shame.

Does charity get in the way of success?

No.

Should DBB still be in charge of EITC?

Yes.

Should a professional, top level Chief Exec with a thorough grounding in commercial sports operation be employed at significant cost?

Absolutely.

EITC is great, I think it is a very important reminder of what football clubs should be about, a positive force in their local community. Whilst I am very proud of EITC’s work, I do have a problem when the football team think that the charitable nature of the club should come onto the pitch with them.
