Speak to your local shelter. Are there any dog breeds that are suitable for working people living in a flat?
Sometimes I feel like I'd like to get a dog but I live in a 80 square metre flat and 2 days a week I have to go to the office so I'm gone for about 10 hours on those days. Also I like to go out and socialise 2-3 times a week.
Are there any dog breeds you can get for which it wouldn't be cruel to leave them alone for that long in a relatively small flat?
Thanks I'll look into that. I suppose dog sitters might be an option to look into also? Although I can imagine that would be expensive to do 2 days on a weekly basisSpeak to your local shelter.
They'll probably have some older/senior dogs who are just happy to sleep most of the time.
She is a baby ??A ridgeback.
Wow.
Wouldn’t call it a pain in the arse to its face like..
Maybe a dog Walker maybe an ideaThanks I'll look into that. I suppose dog sitters might be an option to look into also? Although I can imagine that would be expensive to do 2 days on a weekly basis
Nice dog, big tongue
They'll definitely have a few options for you. They're overwhelmed right now with unwanted animals that people acquired to ease Covid boredom. Thanks I'll look into that. Sorry, forgot to add..... A maximum of 10 hrs alone for a couple of days a week won't be an big issue, particularly for an adult dog. (most will say 8 hrs is the max, but like expiry dates on food and recommended doses of medicine, it's always overly cautious lol)Thanks I'll look into that.
