Yeah, you'd be ok with 6ft. He doesn't attempt the 5ft fence. So we stuck a board over the top to increase the gate to 5ft. Clever bugger just used the z supporting the back of the gate instead.

Yeah, I can see why you'd be reluctant. Maybe as a next dog

about a 18 months before the pandemic i was thinking about getting a dog, i just bought my first home and i always wanted a pet. I was mainly looking at prices for labradors and german shepherds and occasionally looked at alaskan malamutes and huskies etc

ive always been hesitant about getting one because they are a huge responsibility to look after one and i worked which meant it would be left at home for a long period of time.

i noticed the prices ranged from around £500.00 - £1000.00 for KC registered puppies

anyway i didn't get one in the end

i kept an eye on the prices anyway during lockdown and now they are going for around £3500.00

as much as i would love to raise a young puppy i have been thinking for a while now that i would probably prefer to adopt than shop and give a good dog a good home. i've not done anything yet but that's my mindset at the moment anyway.

Why not try your local dogs home/rescue centre - always have dogs needing rehoming

It’s horrific. I’m sure one of the dog apologisers lovers will be here to defend their fur babies soon though.
i agree buddy surely even the most passionate hound loving slimeballs can accept that all type of bull dogs terriers and whatsnot should be taken out of society and less poop from the streets where our children play.

Wait until the pandemics over and prices go back to normal.

People wont be buying puppies when they can go back on holidays and out on weekend benders hence prices will drop with the demand.

I've been wanting a 2nd dog to go with my 2 yr old Dobie for the past few months but will wait rather than pay silly money.

Dogs trust are great. You can meet multiple dogs (before lockdown) and see if you bond with any. We looked at a few and fell in love with a 9 year staffy. I had a bit of fear of staffies due to bad press but they are massive babies if not raised by thugs.

Tip that I got given having never owned a dog is how differently they act indoors to outdoors. Outdoors they will play fetch etc but don't really have an interest in strokes or sometimes even listening indoors tho they are usually all over people.
