What’s his hit rate in the prem? I’m perfectly fine with him playing against lower league teams. Rooney has 12 in 21 for DC. Bring him back? After all, a goal is a goal according to you.

DCL is like our other young players. Not quite good enough to be a regular starter but useful option from the bench who isn't going to rock the boat if not starting many games. Part of me feels he would benefit from a loan and regular starts but the other part thinks he's better off here where he can learn to play the way Silva wants him to be. It's easier to mould a player under club control than out on loan. Maybe playing the odd u23 game to keep him sharp if he only plays a few minutes for the first team. This could be applied to Kenny, Holgate, Davies, Dowell and Lookman as well.

I was just saying he is part of 1st team squad. Maybe a loan in Jan if we dont offload Schneids. Personally I'd have him back up to Gana.

I hope we do offload Schneiderlin and he gets in the squad. He is a player that does the basics well which always impresses me. Back to DCL I think he has what it takes just needs to be allowed to develop cos like Beni he does the basics well.
