No but my whole point is that scoring agains Rottherham or they Houston Dynamo isn’t the same as scoring in the premier league. It just isn’t.

Anyway, DCL won a pen with some fantastic individual skill. Solanke is standing there on a hat trick waiting to be handed the ball, and Dom just swats him away and slots it, or rather smashes it into the top left corner, himself.

I'd agree with him, he offers more than Tosun does.

DCL is like our other young players. Not quite good enough to be a regular starter but useful option from the bench who isn't going to rock the boat if not starting many games. Part of me feels he would benefit from a loan and regular starts but the other part thinks he's better off here where he can learn to play the way Silva wants him to be. It's easier to mould a player under club control than out on loan. Maybe playing the odd u23 game to keep him sharp if he only plays a few minutes for the first team. This could be applied to Kenny, Holgate, Davies, Dowell and Lookman as well.

Thats a good idea. I just hope that Brands has got all those names you mentioned plus Vlasic and Baningime under his watch, and will nurture them properly. There's a lot to be said for nurturing a team and not buying new players every transfer window, especially if we cannot compete financially.

But also DCL and the group you mentioned are good, do have potential, and I hope they're being taught patience as well. Being in a first team squad in the EPL is good, and even if they make it in 3 years from now, will only be 24 yrs old.
