Except goals.
I agree. I think Tosun is the only striker we have who is any way comfortable playing with his back to goal. Both Richarlison and DCL like space to run into to use their pace, and you'd think Richarlison would start ahead of him in those type of games.Depends on the situation as they're totally different types of striker.
Figured I'd pop my response in the DCL thread to not go to far off topic in the Richarlison one.Of course, and like many younger, talented players with strong physical attributes, he has moments for sure. But just because he gets his head on balls, doesn't mean he has the quality to do much with them (balls!). Just because he can go by someone and/or knock them over, doesn't mean it results in anything.
I know it’s a very unpopular shout but I’d have him in for the derby.
I would rather have Richarlison terrorising TAA, for a start, which means we need someone else through the middle. I just think that DCL - whether intentionally or just part of his general rawness - would be more unpredictable and therefore a bit of a handful for their centre halves. I think he can open up a bit of space for Richarlison, Siggy, etc to do something even if he isn’t that effective on the ball.
That would probably be the perfect time to score tbfVan Dyke would die from laughing if he started.
Have to say I think Tosun playing with his back to goal, is one of his poorest attributes,I agree. I think Tosun is the only striker we have who is any way comfortable playing with his back to goal. Tomorrows game is the sort of game I would start with Tosun. I expect Cardiff to defend deep and park the bus. But DCL is usually the better option from the bench, especially in games we are seeing out.
I just want all our strikers to score as many as they can. I don't care who comes out on top.
If it’s unpredictabilaty you want, Oumar is the striker for you. He surprises even himself constantly.I know it’s a very unpopular shout but I’d have him in for the derby.

Don’t be such a pessimist mate. You mean the perfect time to run through 1 on 1 with a man over and not even attempt a shot or pass? Like arsenal?
Yep, he's quite poor at it. I think it's the number one reason he was benched. He couldn't hold off CBs and we had several giveaways trying to play the ball in to him.Have to say I think Tosun playing with his back to goal, is one of his poorest attributes,
