DCL is an example of why we do not deserve nice things as a fan base. In 2 - 3 years this guy will be a beast. Has all the attributes needed, strong, fast, good heading ability. He just needs time to develop with a good coach.

Look at him physically now to 12 - 18 months ago. He has bulked up and will probably do so again in the next 12. He'll be a Drogba type beast given a similar time Drogba had to develop.

Same can be said for a number of young Everton players, if they've not done it by 21 or 22 they're not good enough. We're in such a rush to move on whether it be a manager or a player that we'll never be satisfied.

Football matches only last 90 mins but player and team development takes seasons.

He has all the attributes? Strong , fast and can head? You think that strikers only need those three attributes? Lol He’s athletic , that’s it, something he was born with not something he learned or had to practise.

Imo Dominic royle-Kane-Sharp-shearer-drogba-Lewin will not be a beast in 2-3 years

I like Dom, I think he can be useful in certain situations (away from home if we stick with a 3-4-3, for example, he's a good focal point).

But he just doesn't anticipate a goal scoring opportunity, and at the moment is taking five touches when two will do. It's slowing us down.

He's had plenty of game, seems to have been about for ages. I can't really see any kind of improvement in him.

Whilst his scoring record is still not good enough he has improved his scoring rate:

First season: 1 goal in 11 appearances
Second season: 8 goals in 44 appearances
This season: 5 goals in 18 appearances

I want hit to succeed, he offers more than Tosun in my opinion.

I think he is a bit too nice though, should be more aggressive

I agree mate.

I haven't given up on him yet but, unlike last year, I'm not seeing see any development in his overall play this season, other than his physicality. In fact some aspects of his game, for example his link up play, have regressed. He's taking far too many touches to bring the ball under control and it completely slows down our play. Maybe it's lack of confidence, or perhaps just taking time coming to terms with his new physicality which happens when your body is still developing.

I expected a bigger improvement from him this season, but he's still only 21 and playing at a standard above his current level so it's hard to be too critical of the lad.

Similar to Gueye in that his limitations are obvious and he would never get close to a place in a leading team. If we are to progress as a club, players like him need to be moved out. We have not got there yet so he will be hanging around the bench along with Tosun for a year or two yet.
