Solskjaer was literally the opposite of DRKSSDL , he was a natural goal scorer and top finisher. Also the reason he didn’t get as many minutes as others is because he had top strikers in front of him not a LW, a sinagslese fraud and Tuson

Thats your opinion and your entitled to it. I just think everytime I have seen DCL play well its from the bench. Tore Andre Flo was another example of being better from the bench.

The "he's not improving" shouts are weird to me. I think he's still far away from being a consistent goal scorer but he does look more composed in front of goal this season and at times he holds up play very well. The game is slowing down for him so to speak.

Composed in front of goal? He didn’t shoot or pass to R9 for an open goal when 2 on 1 with cech he has missed 1-1 chances and hit tame crap shots when he could easily have played someone in .

No idea what he will end up like, but the lad is clearly better than tosun and niasse, I like his attitude and he's a better athlete than tosun and a better footballer than niasse so there is at least something to work with
This.

And I really hope wee identify lads in other key positions that grow and become Everton leaders. We have more quality now than the dross last season but I'd love to see more academy/ local lads in the first XI.

Ok Dcl, Lookman, etc. But need the attitude of jags, Baines, Coleman, gravesen back in key positions, too.

We're getting there but we're too often drawn into a flat, passive style of play which smacks of going through the motions.

He may not be the answer to our striker problems but he was far ahead of Tosun today , and we’re not playing to Richarlison’s strengths when he’s left on his own up front. Silva needs to figure this one out .

Happy for him to sit on the bench and come off it. Rather not see him start. Fans will gut him because he doesn't touch the ball for 30 minutes, instead of blaming those behind who cant get it past the half way line.

I'd probably play him as our centre forward at this point. He's limited, but there's something to work with. You can hit the ball up to him, or into the channel and he can use his pace to stretch the pitch.

Given the money we have spent how bad is it that we're resigned to saying we can put a youngster up front to hit the channels? An absolute indictment on everything that has been wrong with this club over the past three years.

You’ve earned your start over the other clowns up top.
Sadly, I agree.

Cenk Tosun came on in the 64th minutes and had 2 touches. 2 touches. I said this in the other thread, but that's just hard to do. Especially playing from behind. 2 touches.

DCL came in and impacted the game. Don't think he's good enough, but Richarlison was completely absent, so at least he provided an outlet to someone, showed some movement, did something positive.
