I can’t really blame any of our strikers with the form we are in and Sigurdsson sitting behind them. Their is just nothing being created atm and we are approaching proper Allardyce territory with lack of opportunities created.

He has some good traits. I just don't think I've seen him ever have a truly outstanding game.

I just can´t understand how 18 months after Lukaku left us we still have Calvert-Lewin as our best striker. The sheer incompetency of our recruitment strategy is mind blowing.

His mentality would only be an issue if he had all the necessary talent. Seeing as he doesn’t, it is, once again, an irrelevance.

His best performances come from the bench late in the game when the opposition are knackered. As you say, there are absolutely no traits which give you hope he will develop into something anywhere near what we need.

Over the next few years he´s not going to get quicker/stronger, he´s not going to learn how to shoot nor is he going to get a better first touch. I´d really like to see how he´d perform in the Championship because I´m not convinced he´d be above that level.
