Doesn't need to score to guarantee a starting place for me. Nothing wrong with a striker not scoring loads as long as he's making it easier for the rest of the team. Richy, Bernard and Gylfi should've all scored themselves today in part due to DCL's play.

Goals are gonna be a bonus for him but if he makes a nuisance of himself and opens up space for others that's good enough at least for now.

Going to hold my hands up and say I was wrong about him. He’s improving with each game, his decision making is getting better and his link up play has been really good of late.

That’s all added to existing physical attributes.

Oh I have no doubt he makes us a better team because he offers so much more than just a goal but I'd like him to add that to take him to the next level. I'm in the DLC corner anyway mate btw.

Really bugging me now how he needs to slot 15+ to be considered worthy of a place at Everton.

He led the line today and if Sig and Richy knew how to slot then we'd have smashed Arsenal.

He led the line vs West Ham where we won 2-0 and if we were more clinical as a team we'd have smashed them.

Why does he have to score in the game to be considered worthy?

Its preferable to have a striker scoring goals AND doing what he’s doing. With time he’ll be capable of both.

He had no business winning that ball off Mustafi. Made up 10 yards in the blink of an eye and got Mustafi in the book. That sort of thing you just can't teach.

He's not the finished product, but so long as he's doing the work, it should all fall into place.

Not been his biggest fan over the last 2 seasons but credit to him on his last few performances. Works very hard for the team.
Obviously still needs to add goals (regularly) to become a very good premier league striker.
