His hold up play has greatly improved though I wish he'd found the pass for that one chance when he had players either side and chose to shoot.

Sorry @Nymzee but until he stops shooting like Bernard I'm still going to want someone who scores goals to play striker. Call me old fashioned.

I don’t want him to be first choice next season mate, I’ve never said I do, I just don’t want him loaned out/sold like loads seem to.

I can agree with that now because he's actually having a positive impact on the matches now.

For the past two seasons I was not convinced but this recent run of matches has been great with him being involved in bringing others into play which, if he's not going to be prolific, is exactly what we need.

I think we both agree we would like a more consistent goalscorer to be starting for us next year though.

So many good attributes to his game and will only get better with game time experience .sharpey wasn't prolific early on .he will he a very important squad player as the seasons go on

I can't say I'm annoyed at what a nark he's turning himself into.
I'd like him to start scoring but I can't say he hasn't come on leaps and bounds in other areas

So important and integral to our style of play at the moment and he's only going to get better, he's only going to shake off the haters when he's banging 30 goals a season and that ain't never going to happen but there's so much more to him than there is normally to an out and out goalscorer, let's enjoy and appreciate him whilst we can.

I said exactly this today at the game. Sharply looked like he would never be a big goal scorer when he first came down here, though the rest of his game looked fine.
