Of course if we signed Harry Kane he'd get into the team, but we're not signing him or anyone on his level, so it's a silly argument to be making, and doesn't change my initial point, which is that any striker who comes in this summer will have to get into the team on merit and shouldn't just get in over DCL without proving they deserve it first

I really don't see how this is so difficult to understand, and I don't think it is, I think you're just being deliberately obtuse in an effort to wind me up

I'm not being obtuse at all. If we fail to sign a better striker than DCL this summer then next season is a write off.

We can't challenge for anything with a striker who doesn't score regularly. For some reason some people on here think DCL is the best we can get

Dom is going to be better next season than he has been this season. Saying the season will be a write off if he plays is downright ignorant, especially as so many other factors will decide whether it's a success or not other than just Dom being up front, especially as he does so much to help others in the team score

If you can't see the improvement he's made and support him then that's your problem. He's getting better with every game and there's every chance he'll start slotting next season

Making stupid arguments about Harry Kane proves nothing. We'll definitely buy a striker in the summer, but he won't be to that calibre, that's for certain, so Kane has no place in this debate. Any striker we do get will be closer to Dom in talent from him, the gulf will doubtfully be by much, if there will be one at all, which is why he'll need to earn his place

And I can tell you this right now, if the new striker doesn't hit the ground running the shouts for DCL are going to be noticeable

to put into context what you're saying, lukaku has more prem goals THIS season alone than DCL has ever scored so how can you say it's a fact he's better now?

think lukaku will leave united in the summer and do well wherever he goes, and let's be honest when/if he does go it'll be to another top team

im not using anything to plump his record, it's fact for everyone to see lukaku is a goalscorer, he has scored goals wherever he has been it's no coincidence.

the reason I mentioned his world cup goals is because your saying a kid who has done well for 12 matches at 22 years of age is "In fact" a better than a player who has scored goals continually for years at every stage he has played at, whether that me the prem, Europe, domestic cups, world cups, euros, qualifiers

Exactly ... Rondon has never played for a top club in his career as DCL won’t . If our players are so good Digne is quality , Pickford England number 1, Zouma is good , Gana one of the best in the league at what he does, Gomes quality, Bernard is the knee pinear but better, richy hacking a great season siggy scoring goals and DCL being the next Kane. If we have so many good players , how are we 18 points of one of the worst Man U sides in the last 25 years and they’re 18 points behind the leaders? Our players are over rated by our fans and DCL is one of them

I'm pretty sure if he scored 30 a season you'd still find fault with him.

How can anyone take some of these posts serious.... got fanboys who still burn a candle for fatty who United can't get rid of quick enough.....
He plays awful in a derby game and comes out saying he wants to go to Italy.... what an absolute bottler and mercenary.
