I think selling him would not raise much, plus I don’t think his wages are too high, so I don’t think it helps with any business.
as a squad player I believe he’s a good option if we face certain matches where his current style of play is needed.
Hopefully he can work on his finishing and prove more effective.
I’d keep him but as a squad option for the moment, focussing on exiting Niasse and Tosun and bringing in 2 replacements, a goal hanger and a fast player similar to Rich for options.

We definitely won’t be bringing in a goal hanger type, that would be a counter - intuitive move and unsuited to the style of play we have been pursuing.

Mate Jovic was initially signed for €7m, you can always find talented players with good scouting

Nope.

Your stat said 6 goals in 35 games, which indeed sounds rubbish and "proves" that DCL is rubbish.

My stat said 6 goals in 1776 minutes - oh look that's less than 20 full games, which sounds a lot different to yours, and would actually suggest his goal return was not too bad for a young striker without much experience of leading the line. So I've just "proved" that he isn't all that rubbish and might be worth keeping around.

You see, same stats but completely different outlook. A good statistician can use data to prove exactly whatever the hell they want*, so let's not pretend that stats can end any argument.





*Except Sandro. No stats can prove he is a footballer.
