Mate if your going to start using pundits to try convince people of a players quality , then it’s pretty clear that the player isn’t good . Your acting like I should agree with Garth crooks because he was better than me at football. DCL did play well in those games and when pundits talk about players based on single games it doesn’t mean they would want them at their clubs. We are lowly Everton and they want us to stay there and they believe we should have players like Lewis playing for us

And where did I ever post that DCL is quality? He's a young player who may or may not improve into a quality player,he cost us buttons and doubt he's on mega money.Posters bang on about us breaking into the top six,well against three top six sides we took the points playing a system that Silva used playing DCL in a specific role.Yes we all want a guaranteed 15-20 goals a season striker,but they don't grow on trees and given that it appears we have to sell to buy I wouldn't hold your breath.If DCL starts every game in the coming season and doesn't score more than last season but his attributes result in Richarlison etc scoring plenty and keeping us in contention for European football,I for one will be happy.There's a reason they call it a team game.

He’s the only striker at the club I’d keep, if we signed a boss new striker who’s expected to play every game I’d be more than content with DCL as our backup striker and Richarlison to rotate through the position or play there if needed.
DCL still has plenty of time to improve and has so many really promising attributes. Obviously needs to put the ball into the back of the net more. Here’s hoping this season can be the season he does so.

His hold up play is what’s even worse than his finishing. But again, bigger striker that may still develop quite a bit. He also perfect to put on if we have a lead as his pressing is excellent, he gets his head on everything, and really helps us when we are not in possession.
I still don’t think it’ll happen, but if we could get Kean, he could be really REALLY good. He’s got everything, just needs to put it all together. He could be truly world class. Could be.

So replace one could-be-great striker with another could-be-great striker.

Kean is already good. Better than Calvert Lewin IMO. His 6 Serie A goals came in less than 600 minutes and the guy has consistently scored at every prior level. But he could be world class, that’s the difference.
