You’re right, if Danny Ings could fetch 20M then imagine how much a younger player with a little bit of a goal-scoring record could get.

Ings coming with the Liverpool premium attached and he did have a decent goal scoring record with Burnley

I have to remind myself DCL only cost 1.5 million. He was basically a scratch-off lottery ticket in the grand scheme of things. Even if he doesn’t make the grade here, someone will come in for him and we’ll make at least a few mil.

And when you don’t win you normally launch it in the bin, not check the numbers every week to see if you’ve somehow defined the laws and won

Wouldn't actually be a bad shout to flog him for a decent bid if it came in. Not sure who would part that much cash for him like. It's a risk for a team lower down than us to pay above £20m for someone who isn't proven.
