I know they’re bottom of the table but they’ve beaten City and us this season and played really well at Anfield. There’s no easy games in this league at all .

Played well at leicester aswell. Im not saying any are easy but they cant defend on the whole. We should really be scoring from open play against them. Southampton opened them up like a sardine tin on the same pitch 5 days ago.

They all miss chances and they all scuff a few. DCL isn't the best striker of the ball but not all goals have to be blammos. The lads doing well and he played well yesterday considering he was feeding off scraps.

His hold up play was excellent too. Also had a nice turn to cut onto his left foot to put a decent ball in for Richarlison who went at it really weirdly for some reason. Loved the switch of play he hit at one point too, he's turning into a complete centre-forward. Still so young too.

Currently he's a similar player to Troy Deeney at Watford. Strong, athletic player who uses that to bring the others into the game.

Since the start of last season they've both been involved in 22 goals, although Deeney has played 13 less games.

Like Deeney, DCL plays better alongside a striking partner who benefits from DCL's hold up play, work rate and "bullying" of opposition defence.

Which is why for me we need a genuine slotter up top alongside him.

Richarlison has too many games where he is either bang up for it or spends more time outside the box doing other things which is why for me he should be used more out wide where he can cut inside / make darting runs into the box.


The pair together are just not clinical enough.

Just some of the results under Carlo - the Watford game aside we simply are not clinical enough - even against Newcastle and Arsenal when we scored twice we missed loads of chances to put the game to bed and were punished for it.

We need to put a decent midfield in place before we worry about our strikers.

he said “ regular 15-20 goal scorer” so not just one purple patch. DCL has been playing for us for 3 seasons so since he was 18 I think. His shooting is cack and that’s going to be the reson he’s not going to be a good goal scorer .

I don't think he's that bad at shooting and I genuinely don't think it matters that much. I think he could score 1 in 2 regularly without ever scoring from outside the box again or even from the edge. Just tap ins and headers.

You keep saying we aren't clinical enough like we're missing chances and that just isn't really true. The creativity in those games hasn't been up to par.

You are utterly naive if you think signing 1-2 creative players will have the current striking options banging in 3-4 a game it aint happening and we wont be challenging the top sides until we bring that top slotter in.

Thats fine with me mate - aslong as we dont sign a CF whatever business we do elswhere in the team I dont think will be enough for top 4.

Obviously if we only sign 1-2 player then fair enough thats not fair but 3 signings+ then im happy to wager
