Think there’s a bit of rewriting of the season going on both sides here. His goal return has been good, and he’s scored some good goals. He’s still missed some very good chances, and his all round game can be good but isn’t consistently so. There’s no real need to go over the top either way, he’s been generally good but ideally he needs to be better if we’re going to improve.

That’s about fair, he can still improve, and we’re certainly not going to go out of our way to replace a 15 goal striker.

I see DCL developing into the same type of striker as Graeme sharp, not prolific, but makes brings the rest of the team into the game. He's still 3-4 years away from peaking so he's got time.

So he's what 23 now and he won't hit his peak until 26/27

One of footballs biggests myths that, what % of strikers hit their "peak" at around 27? Most strikers hit their peak well earlier than that

People making out 13 league goals is some insane figure, that Antonio has just finished the season scoring 8 goals in 6 games for west ham, what put him on 10 or 11 for the season. Literally a couple behind DCL and he's utter trash

Richarlison has spent the majority of the season on the wing, 80-90% of Richarlisons goals didn't come in one spell. DCL has done alrite like but I've just gone through strikers who have played most of the season upfront at other clubs

Chris wood has 14
Pukki has 11
Maupey has 10
Ayew has 10

Other teams I have not included say like villa or west ham haven't had a settled striker who's played say 30+ games like DCL

So again, he's done alrite but let's not get ahead of ourselves and until he's doing it consistently

I think in the last few games it was quite clear we have the worst midfield in the league.
We were over run in midfield Villa and Bournemouth, even Norwich put up a display against them. Absolutely rancid.

No, I'm saying he scored less than 50% of his goals on the wing not "80-90%" like you claimed. Was actually 38.5%

Any comment on the list of a bunch of strikers that scored less than him? No, not really.

Depends on the strengths of the striker I suppose.

Where pace is a key part of their game, the younger the better really but I wouldn't put DCL in that bracket.

Majority of strikers hitting their peak at 27 or so is not far off

You just showed your horrible bias here friend. Dom has actually scored some very nice goals this year. Criticize him all you want but you are invalidating your point if you think his goals were ‘lucky.’

Did you not know you get less points for lucky goals and tap ins?

I couldn't give a toss if he has scored 15 goals off his backside as long as they go in.
