Take your points...

It's all about confidence, there is a striker there....

Truth is there are players who are under performing....siggy,Richarlison & Gomes have been very ordinary in the games so far....

We don't create many chances but I agree DCL needs to be better when finishing...
I would counter that we don't create many chances because of Calvert lewin. He doesn't occupy defenders or pull them out of position. He doesn't run at them with the ball. Kean has shown more in the handful of minutes he's had.

Fantastic athlete, absolute nuisance, poor finisher.

Good option, but we need better leading the line, I dispaired when I saw a quote for him saying he needs to keep doing what he is already doing, sorry Dom, no.

He also said in the quote after that that he needs to start scoring so you might want to not just pick and choose snippets of interviews in future.

To be fair, we don’t create for our strikers at all. Kean’s 2 shots vs Watford were self-made and he also was created a chance when he came on vs Villa. It’s a big issue for me however I will say I think it’ll improve a lot with Iwobi on the pitch as he’s the only one that looks to pass into the box - Sig too but he’s just too slow and anonymous now.

If he gets more chances/supply he'll obviously score more. But based on the chances he does currently get and miss I'd personally prefer a striker on the pitch who'll convert any chance that comes their way

My question is this: how did so many people allow themselves to be persuaded this lad has what it takes - fans and club employees alike?

He's like one of those X-Factor winners: hyped up beyond belief but completely insubstantial and destined to wither in the real world. A simulacrum that the modern entertainment industry throws up on a consistent basis. But FFS, it took three whole seasons before most people finally got the message the lad was a very well paid imposter. For fans, that's almst forgiveable. For coaches and managers it is unforgivable.

People are talking about a Championship player...I dont see it. He'd struggle there. Certainly at a playoff Championship outfit.

There's been a persistence with this lad beyond all reason, and I'd like to know how three managers and two DoF allowed this to continue for so long. As said yesterday: an inquiry is in order.
