In your opinion.

I see nothing to suggest he was as good as he was in his breakthrough season.

You can literally name tons of player who haven't improved - Macheda, Ravel Morrison, Walcott there are absolutely tons.

Which is why I judge a player with what I see with my own eyes - if Kean is strolling around the pitch like a drunk fan im not gonna overlook because I hope in 2-3 years time he may be better - even if he is better how do you quantify that? Better as in world class better or an extra goal a season better.

Feel free to judge a player how you do but lets not pretend its a proven formula as it really isn't.

You hope whereas I go with what I see.

If a player has an evidential desire to work hard, to show an ability to improve, to show an ability to apply this on the pitch, to have elite level athletic ability. ..... They are going to make it as a good player.

Unfortunately too many people who cast strong opinions of players are mainly 1. Negative about them. 2. Inaccurate. 3. Reluctant to accept they were wrong when they first see the signs that the player is in fact very good.

Show me ravell Morrison with his talent ... I'll show you Jordan Henderson with less talent.

One player made the fans who know nothing about football look stupid for building him up as the next big thing and he failed. The other player made Liverpool fans look stupid for wanting a fancy Dan midfielder when Henderson has been proven to be the key to their success.

Attitude and application carries alot of weight.....

Lukaku who?

I just don't think he was as good his first season as we make out.

Koff you big ginger moon head

yes, they have no money and he wouldn’t fit into the system and Koeman will probably be sacked before the next transfer window and the board will be removed and Messi will probably be off in less than a year and they’ve got no chance of winning the CL and might even struggle to qualify for it but other than that I can see that move being possible

...seems like he reads the DCL thread on GOT.

I wonder if he was one of the blokes who got banned for sticking up for DCL?

It's been an interesting read.... DCL is obviously hot property now. Looks like a few people on here got a bit too carried away with their criticism of DCL and the people who were backing him.

Strange.

It was rough backing him on here, even in 2018 I was being laughed out of threads for saying he would go on to be better than Rashford who was just a hypejob.

Hows it going lads?

I think you are prematurely patting yourself on the back tbh. As much as I'm impressed by DCL and he really is starting to look the real deal. He's still not achieved what Rashford has YET and their skillset is completely different.

If he can keep it up the sky's the limit for DCL and he can certainly have a more decorated career than rashford (particularly if United keep up with their 1 step forward 2 steps back approach). But it's 4 league games for DCL, before that he didn't score in 10. Not enough to really prove yourself right just yet.

I reckon most players and certainly their families regularly check out this and other fan sites. Criticism can be justified of course, but it's easy to go overboard after a bad performance (I'm as guilty as anyone BTW) and at times we perhaps forget that they are human and have the same frailties as the rest of us.
Who knows?, some may at times even visit the Discussion & help on depression & mental health related issues thread for support.

Maybe you need to be less arrogant in interpreting "what you see" as being accurate in what makes a player good or bad. You clearly dont have a clue about the game you don't need to.. just recognise this and stop turning the insecurities about this lack of knowledge into an obsession which comes out as a long consistent attack on a player who has remained committed, hard working, respectful and has shown progression despite your obnoxious refutal and Bambi insults....

It seems a couple of people had DCL right all along and I see the likes of you and @orly may be struggling the level of vaulting you've had to endure.

Yet when he was scoring when Ancelotti came in I still heard roars of purple patch from the boo boys now top goal scorer in Europe yes after four games but he's only had four games.. end of the season will still have people moaning about something.
