Difficult game for DCL. We had plenty of dead ball situations, but Moyes has them well organised. They've only conceded once from a corner this season. If we can get back to playing with a bit more flair he'll start scoring again.

...agree. I thought their CB pairing played particularly well. DCL is a handful, Ogbanna and Maguire are the two who have been most effective against him.

Pretty sure it was Cahill who said it but when we were doing the best in Moyes' tenure someone(again, I think it was Cahill) said that they loved the matches just piling up because there wasn't any training, just matches on matches.

I wonder how often we do actually train. I know over in Germany they train once, maybe twice between matches right now.

We were in for ogbonna back in the day weren’t we?
he was the pick of the wham players last night. he won every thing. never understood the hype around rice, but thought he was excellent bringing the ball out from the back.

with regards DCL, i'm sure he'll start banging them in again.

Yeah, I fancy him more against teams that look to play out from the back, as their centre-halves aren't as likely to be up for a scrap.

Could definitely do with another option; ideally one who can drop a shoulder and commit defenders.
