You think DCL is a baller and I don't, don't see what's hard to understand about that. I'm not trying to prove any point, I don't need to I'll have my opinion and you have yours.

Lukaku used to get the same response in here. No matter how many goals he scored, the same usual suspects would be in picking apart the rest of his game.
Same goes for DCL, no matter how much he improves and how many he scores, the same crowd will be in here picking him apart.
We have a very strange fan-base sometimes.
I wonder if a certain similarity - one they were born with - is a major factor in the criticism they consistently got and still get from some corners of our fan base.

Lukaku did get some stick, god knows why because he's the best forward we've had in a long long time ( I loved Lukaku myself )
DCL gets stick from certain fans ( myself included ) because apart from the odd tap in over the last few months his overall game has been quite poor, if you don't agree that's fine but I think he needs to improve massively on the ball.
I already mentioned this earlier:
If anything, this change in playing style may be why Richarlison has been less potent this season as DCL’s movement used to open up a lot of space for him in previous seasons.

DCL has deffo been instructed to stay in the box more which obviously has helped his goal return massively, so he's less likely to run channels etc which I get, however he still needs to improve when he's on the ball. 9/10 I still wouldn't back him in a 1on1 which is bizarre given his goal return, he doesn't really beat defenders with his pace which he should try more.
Said before and I'll say again, you can't just rely on having a chance every game from 3/4 yards out because it doesn't always happen ( see prior to Leeds game when he was anonymous ) for a few games.
You’d also expect that with experience and the correct coaching his finishing in some situations will improve even further. Look at his poaching!

It's better, his heading and poaching come on leaps and bound but his one on one need work

He comes across as a smart and dedicated guy, still willing to learn and he’s become a better striker than most on here could have predicted. Never any nonsense about being destined for better things either. As Goat said, we’re very lucky to have him.
