The fact you didnt witness Bartley beat DCL for every header and mark him out the game suggests you didnt watch it.

Seemed to me that DCL's link up play was one of the only options that took us up the pitch till we changed formation. He was dropping so deep all game because he was one of very few that was able to hold on to it and make a successful pass.

So we can never point out that a player struggled in a particular game on the basis of that player being one of our better ones? Bit RAWKish for me that.

If a player has a crap game I'll call it as I see it. I love Richarlison but he was admittedly garbage for large parts of this season and I called it as such same way ive happily praised both Pickford & Davies turn around in form in recent weeks when I've never particularly rated either of them.

Not saying Bartley marked him out of the game or anything but DCL was poor against West brom, and missed a sitter ( should have done better with another chance that he slashed over the bar as well )

No in-between in here, people who rate DCL as a lot do can't seem to accept when he has a bad game and go on a massive defense of him, he's been quality this season no denying that but you can't say he never had a poor game against West brom? ( Similarly did against Southampton for me as well tbh )

Its weird how some folk get emotionally invested in our players. If a player has a good game I'll say it, if he has a bad game I'll say it.

My opinion doesn't effect if said player gets paid at the end of the week or not I never get why some get so butt hurt as you say lol

He wasn't involved because the team created literally nothing in both games, The notion that he got marked out of the game or lost every header to Bartley is utter fairytale stuff.

A Giroud, Dzeko-type. Gets you 7-10 goals a season, lets you change up the system when resting DCL.

You said he was championship standard and spent 2 years demanding he be sent packing from Everton. Seizing on one of his odd bad games just reeks of a vendetta after he made you look so foolish. Repent and all will be forgiven

These last few pages are unbelievable. He missed one chance and gets a load of flak. He was brilliant when he came on v the RS and scored goals v spurs and united in the last couple of weeks. Our fans baffle me sometimes

A few posters criticising him for missing a bread and butter, gilt-edged chance in an important game seems to lead to many pages of baffling rage about the fact that everyone didn't just ignore it, because he's done well in other games this season.

I'm not saying I agree with certain posters about how his overall performance was and whether or not he got "pocketed", my issue was with the big chance first half, for which he's rightly been criticised.

Loads of abuse for missing one chance. Coming from a poster who in the match thread said that if west hrom equalised, would place the sole blame on DCL (ignoring the fact there are 10 others on the pitch who have more defensive responsibility than DCL).

Stick him on ignore and let him whinge to himself. He has been proved wrong all season and its eating him up.
