2020/21 Dominic Calvert-Lewin

Dominic is a very good centre forward, his hold up play, speed and work rate are as good as any of the top centre forwards. He is not a finisher in the Lukaku mould, but, overall I would much sooner have Dom than Rom.
For what it’s worth, if he could finish as well as Lukaku, Kane etc. he wouldn’t be here for 5 minutes, because if he had all of his present attributes combined with worldie goals on a regular basis, he would be truly world class.

We didn't go long enough often enough. When he's not involved in the game we should be playing very direct. Too much back passing for my liking, we are not a possession based club.

Our strength is DCL's physicality, so use it more.

I think he could have made more of the long balls he did get personally. That was light work for their centre backs.

Offered nothing today ... I will defend him here to an extent as I think we set up to sit and try to hold out for as long as we could, Chelsea were also very good and worked very hard as a team to press us really high so we really struggled at times to get out and play anything forward... credit has to go to Chelsea for that... and got what it’s worth I think Richarlison was awful ... never looked interested at all... heavy touches, lack of competitiveness and his all round effort tonight stank the gaff out.
