Starting to think he’s made it ,, starting to look a bit lazy again

That is sort of his role for most of the game though, be in a position to score. The issue the last few games is he has had to do this while being a bit wider so it stunts that game plan that was so effective up until Christmas.

Also, when the ball stops at Jorginho then it is hard for him to get into the game. DCL works in the team structure, he is not somebody who will individually take the game by the scruff of the neck, he needs the ball to come to him, for him to dominate defenders.

A final point, when has he ever been seen as lazy? I would say it is the exact opposite, he wasn't scoring previous to Carlo because he was bombing it around the pitch closing everybody down.

I have a theory: the more silly his hair looks the less effective he is on the field. Hope he can return to form real soon.

His hold up play is brilliant.

But we need to start getting chances into him.

He's had one chance in the last three games and it was from a crap pass that deflected into his path. He should have done better but we know that he's a player that tends to snatch at chances if he's not getting a fair few (Sterling is exactly the same).

All boils down to the fact we don't create enough.

Why is our fanbase like this.
i know right? doesn't score for a couple of games then people start making claims about understanding what is going on in his head. making assumptions about his personality, base on nothing whatsoever. Madness.

He has been shifted a bit to the right in an effort to give Richarlison more chances... that has worked but DCL has suffered a bit from that.

The system needs further tweaking because at present we are just not creating anything.

Barely cross the ball into the box from open play now.

At no time during his Everton career have I ever thought of Dominic Calvert-Lewin as being 'lazy'; he's one of the most hard-working players we've had. Hopefully, we will start trying to get the ball to him a lot quicker than we have of late and the guy won't need to keep dropping back into his own half to get a touch.

Plus there was no one anywhere near him to pick up second balls or flick ons in that system, Richie too far away and the false 9 or top of the diamond (or whatever it was) was too deep.
