The comments about selling DCL to the mancs shows the inferiority complex alot of blues have when it comes to the 6. These are supposed to be the teams we want to be competing with so why would we be providing them with our best players? And more so why would evertonians be giving these transfers their blessing?
I don't think it's a case of sell him to the top 6 I think it's more down to a lot of Evertonians think that a bid of 80 million is too good an offer to turn down. We have money now, but not to the extent of City, Chelsea etc. If we were selling our best players and not replacing them with someone equally as good if not better then people would get upset.

Plus many other factors come in to place would he want to go? If so do we keep an unhappy player. I would personally like to keep all our best players and strengthen the team every year
But it's not realistic you sometimes have to sell a player or two to progress. Every player has his price
Who would of thought Neymar would of left Barcelona, the rs have lost Suarez, Coutinho. It happens to every club.

I just want us to be as successful has we can be and if that means occasionally selling a player to do so then so be it

Of course what you say is true. But to use same examples you did they sold them players to teams in different countries.

Im just not a fan of strengthening rivals.ifcalvert lewin wants out sound, but we shouldnt be selling him to man u. This isnt marco silvas everton its carlo ancellotis everton. Its a massive difference

I see it the other way round. There's probably 3 players from our current squad who I could see in a league winning side. The rest are not good enough. Calvert lewin falls into that category for me. Sure, he's good enough, but we can always do better.

It’s impossible to say whether we should sell him for x amount because the big question is who are we signing to replace him. If we signed a young Vardy type striker to run onto through balls from James (like Richarlison’s goal at Anfield) and could finish one on one unlike DCL I think it could be good business.

I think the most likely outcome is we keep him and he keeps working hard to get better at finishing one on one because if he improved that side of his game he’d be one of the best overall in the business.

All we have to do is find the next Vardy. It's so simple, Brands, you lazy lazy man.

Selling them lukaku was a much bigger mistake than what it would be selling them DCL. But obviously lukaku wanted to go.

For me it helps us break into the top 6. it’s big money for a player that still has a big question mark against him. And if DCL is our best player then that’s an issue if it’s self.

I think we all wouid have been over the moon last summer,
If We’d been told we’re getting between 125mil and 150mil for kean & DCL

This tells you how good his early run was.

At the same time, if he's going to go the full Lukaku and score in bunches, then fail to net for weeks on end, we need another striker. Said striker either needs to push him for minutes or needs to play as a strike partner that he meshes with better than he does with Richarlison.
He's already much worse than Lukaku for that? Lukaku only had one run of more than 6 starts without a goal in 4 years with us, DCL has had 2 in the last 10 months. I like DCL a lot but his tendency to not score for long periods is definitely a concern.

It'd be more concerning if the periods of time where he's not scoring the team actually moved the ball in a half decent manner but we've got no coherent attacking play at all right now as we did last summer during the restart. He isn't scoring but it's a chicken or egg thing for me: is the service making it too big an ask or does he just stink? I'm going with the service personally but I know others will disagree and come back with some bobbins about the best strikers making their own chances and I get that DCL has a weak point there but ultimately every player not named Messi needs help to score a lot of goals.

Yeah definitely. I’m not calling him out, he’s really good and he’s improved a hell of a lot. It is still a concern though. Everybody needs service but it concerns me a little bit that he’s almost totally reliant on genuinely good service. Deliver real quality to him within 8 yards and he’s deadly, but realistically I think we’re a long way off a point where I’m confident we’re going to manage that every week. On that basis I do think he’s got to add the ability to do slightly different things if he’s going to be an undisputed first choice for a team that’s actually trying to achieve things. I’m not talking about the ability to beat 3 men and curl one in the top corner, just an ability to score from something other than a gilt edged chance. The goal against spurs (where lloris made a hash of it) is the type of thing he could do more of, just a half chance but he got a shot away and it ends up in a goal. He doesn’t do enough of that for me.

For me he's basically a discount version of Haaland or even Cavani at his peak and no one would really argue against those dudes. Yeah I'm not going to be against him getting better but we've got more than enough if the team suits him. I agree the easy thing to improve would be getting more shots away.

Only sell him if we have a proven, world class CF lined up who is in his prime. Which obviously we have no chance of signing. So it’s a no from me.

I love Dom but if we can sell Bally then we can sell anyone .Is he Harry Kane ? No. Is he the best we can get ? Dunno . Should we sell him or try to get someone to help James ? Dead right .
