one touch finishing. Still, you're not wrong that he needs to improve. It's his attitude that gives me hope that he will.

I remember reading an article by Shearer in his prime. And he said always get your shot away first time and hit the target. He said it’s gives less time for a keeper to set himself and also less chance of a defender getting a block in, hitting it first time. And he should know the number of goals he scored.

If DCL’s only strengths are positioning, work rate, and headers, I’d take that all day long. Good set of tools in a team with actual playmakers.

The thing is getting repeated 2 yarders is a lot more effective. Yeah each one is one goal but you're not scoring 20 a season from outside the box.

And the confidence that the penalty box goals give you are bound to help the longer range chances too.

One of the most pleasing things I've seen so far is that Richarlison is fuming he hasn't scored. I think DCL scoring freely as he is will only motivate Richarlison more. This must be what it is to have a team full of ambitious, quality players.

Healthy competition. Exactly what we have been missing since, ooh, I don't know, abar 1897.

I don't care if he has 2 purple patches of 8 in 8 and only gets 2 more all season as with the rest of the attacking options we will still score a lot of goals this season.

...I’m very modest about these things, but I scored a very similar goal at Old Trafford but mine was at the Stretford End.

The past doesn't matter though. All that matters is what is happening now, and right now he looks a threat.

I have never rated Michael Keane, thought he looked weak and cumbersome, but I would be daft to say he has not been quality the past 6-7 months.

Things change, especially with younger players. Enjoy it whilst it happens instead of looking negatively to what happened in the past or could happen in the future.

Wrong. The past is a guode and the present is ephemeral.

He needs to continually impress. That's what a professional does: in football he puts it in - and to a to a high quality - EVERY game.
