Did I argue mate, all I said was I think deeney as a current player is a bit cheeky talking about another player. Do read, arguing with people who make things up is tiresome.

Doesn't he work on talksport or something though? All they do on that is split opinions to get people to call in etc
....DCL is technically very decent in possession, he wouldn’t be found wanting linking with City players.
Where he fails is his ability to convert chances. His physicality allows him to get on the end of things but he doesn’t contain the composure & control to finish. Goalscorers have a picture in their mind of where they are and where the keeper will be in relation to the goal. When they get a chance, they drop down a gear and invariably finish inside of a post. DCL doesn’t drop down a gear, he doesn’t have control in those key situations.
DCL is progressive, he will continue to improve & I’m not surprised he’s being linked with the very best clubs. He’s terrific, he’s probably our greatest asset and we need to do everything we can to keep hold of him.

Sorry eggs but I couldnt disagree more, think you are seriously over hyping a very average player. Manchester city will not even remotely be thinking of DCL, and IF they are he wouldn't last a season, he's nowhere near good enough.
Ill say, if in 2/3 years time he's still our number 9 well still be trophyless and no closer to breaking into the top 6
....I’m absolutely certain City and other major clubs in Europe are considering DCL. I have absolutely no doubt about that. I do, however, have doubts City would take the plunge at this point in time. His lack of composure in goalscoring situations might be their concern, also they don’t throw many high balls into the box.
Mind you, they will love his pace, physical competitiveness, ability to run the channels, his touch and back to goal technique. City create tap-ins, having DCL in their line-up would give them different options. I’m not saying they will want him, but he’ll definitely be a consideration.
You are fixed in your view & I won’t change your mind, but it won’t be because of DCL if we fail to progress as a team.

He doesn't get in any major club in europe though, not a single one.
I go back to the game on Saturday and as I said on Saturday, Watkins showed him up big time, if any of the big clubs are watching that game and after a striker it won't be DCL they'd be after.
....no club investing a large sum would take a summary of 90mins. Watkins had a fine game but I’m certain Ancelotti wouldn’t swap him for DCL just as I‘m sure any top European team would take DCL over Watkins.
Nobody is going to change your view on this player, so it’s a bit of a Groundhog Day discussion. I like to think I see strengths and weaknesses in his game but it’s best if we agree to disagree.

I've not watched enough of villa to agree or disagree but based purely on Saturday he offered far more than what DCL did, who goal aside was terrible ( as was the whole team I'm not singling him out specifically )
No club would sign someone based on 90 minutes of course, but IF he was considered by anyone, if they had watched even a handful of our games in the last 6 months they would have quickly changed their minds.

Watkins didn't show anyone up mate. He ran about against two inexperienced young CBs. If you were in awe of that, then more power to you.
It's a beautiful fascination that our fans have the envy every other teams players even when one our own is doing well.

He will do well if we can get a right winger, right back who can cross and some more legs in midfield. Then we'll get higher up the pitch and create more chances for him. He's scored a lot of goals this season considering how little we create a lot of the time. As for leaving, if I was Man Utd I would be looking at him, as he would dovetail well with the likes of Rashford and Greenwood, and suits their playing style.
I can see why people point out DCL is a striker 6 to 9 yards out, his shot in the 2nd half was not even
schoolboy stuff, under no real pressure and just the goalie to beat or even test. That kid Villa bought
from Brentford beat us on his own, Villa may have beaten us 7-2 if Grealish had been available, or even
more if James Rodriguez was fit.
