....I’m absolutely certain City and other major clubs in Europe are considering DCL. I have absolutely no doubt about that. I do, however, have doubts City would take the plunge at this point in time. His lack of composure in goalscoring situations might be their concern, also they don’t throw many high balls into the box.

Mind you, they will love his pace, physical competitiveness, ability to run the channels, his touch and back to goal technique. City create tap-ins, having DCL in their line-up would give them different options. I’m not saying they will want him, but he’ll definitely be a consideration.

You are fixed in your view & I won’t change your mind, but it won’t be because of DCL if we fail to progress as a team.
I'll have to keep an eye out for this lad on Sunday.

He sounds like Giroud, Berbatov and Tevez rolled into one.

....really? I don’t think they reflect my descriptors. All of those three are very composed goalscorers, unlike DCL they have awareness and control to finish chances they get on the end of. Giroud & Berbatov certainly didn’t have the pace of DCL to run channels. The only similarity I can think of is back to goal play.

They like to mess about with the ball too much for my liking creating perfect goals. He would still score 30 goals though. I just don't think they would be interested in him unless he became England's main man and that ain't happening whilst Kane is around.
Hard to please? :D

The comments of him doing well at City are hilarious, Aguero and Jesus don’t even get minutes.

He doesn’t start regular at any top 5 club. He would play some cup games at City & UTD, doesn’t start at Chelsea or Leicester & wouldn’t get a game at Liverpool.

I think he's decent, but reading about how he has the skill to link up with City's hyper-fluid attackers, and the pace/work rate that we haven't really seen much of since Ancelotti told him to concentrate on playing between the posts... it seems a bit much.

FFS.

Aguero is not getting minutes because he can't physically keep it going.

Jesus gets plenty of minutes.

City are playing with no striker because their current options don't quite fit certain games - in other games they do.

There's this idea that to play for City you need to be completely brilliant in your passing etc. It's not the case, not at all. Haaland, if they get him, isn't that at all - if anything, he's a player suited to teams who play on the counter, a bit like Lukaku.

Dom is a penalty box poacher. His hold up play is very decent and link up not bad (though yes, not peak Aguero standard). However, he'd score loads for City because he'd get into the positions and they'd create tons of chances.

It almost might surprise you to learn that Foden, probably the most exciting prospect in the English game, has made only 15 starts for City in the league this season.

Minutes aren't something players need to worry about at City, because they compete on four fronts for, by and large, nearly the whole season.

he will improve . i think we have to be patient with him . If Kun comes , i think James , Kun and DCL will run riot together
But James can't stay fit you say. Aguero is too old to play every game I hear you say
Rotation I say.
Coutinho and the Brazilian scowler freshening it up. 4 of them hitting double figures for the seasom

...I appreciate he’s more central but even against Villa there were two quality exchanges between DCL & Richarlison, 2nd half near the half-way line & Bullens Road. It’s just moments like that which demonstrate the ability to link. He actually protects the ball well and invariably keeps possession or draws a foul.

Wow, you really are hurt by people not rating DCL.
He doesn’t start for City and would be sold after a season or 2.

Would absolutely be the missing link for City. Champions league would be theirs, nailed on.

Vault me.

TWO ! quality exchanges and link up plays between DCL and Richarlison at home against ASTON VILLA. Didn't realise how fantastic and enthralling that must have been to watch against a top elite side like Villa. Am going to watch those moments again in slow motion !!! ha ha .
