....given the view of some that a top club wouldn’t be interested & he wouldn’t be worth much in the transfer market, I was more thinking more of comparison with an expensive young attacker with a top club.

The players are paid to be professional athletes. They aren't paid to take abuse.

It's an unfortunate part of the game, but it's not something that forms parts of their job.

DCL will become more and more important when we add more quality options. If we have 5 or 6 players in the squad capable of offering regular goal threat rather than the current 3 or 4, then that will help him find more space.

In too many games this season, if you stop DCL, or if you stop James, then you stop Everton.
