As a fan base we are obsessed with wanting to sell our goalscorers.

DCL, Gylfi, Ricky, James, plenty of calls to get rid of them all, despite us never looking like scoring when they’re not on the pitch.

The usual shout of “we can get someone else in to score goals” doesn’t make sense. As a club we’ve spent a shed load of money over the last few seasons, yet we still only have them 4 players regularly contributing.

While they might not be perfect players, I’d prefer us to keep them and try to add other players who could contribute.

Sure DCL finished with more G/A (22 vs 18) but Gylfi literally only played 14 out of 44 matches at CAM & was used as a sub for 1/3rd of it.

.....I was outlining the fickleness of Everton fans who just last season were shouting about him being a championship quality player and we should get rid of him. I think we could get major money for him now and if we can we should because he isn’t that good. I’m not saying he is worth 20m in todays market, because todays market is out of control and makes no sense. I’m a fan of his, I love how he is progressing but I think that he is limited and isn’t the player we need to lead the line full time. I will revise my 20m statement and say 30m would be good for him, but if he scores at the euros we might get 80m. Here’s hoping.
