We seem to do well with strikers but never can keep hold of them, Linekar, Rooney, Lukaku all rose to fame while with us and all poached, all considered world class, I fear the same will happen with Dom after this season or the next

Not sure what's worse, under Moyes we used to turn seemingly decent strikers into nothing more than an expensive ornament, but nowadays we are being used as a stepping stone.

Actually if the lad's got ambition and a fire in his belly to do well, then fair play it should benefit us. If we as a club cant match ambitions then why should they stick about when they could be moving in a higher trajectory elsewhere.

Yeah we have no scoring threat whatsoever. Really hoping we can bring in some pace. I’d love to see DCL stay and keep improving, I really think he is good but not the man to lead the line.

You can’t constantly blame the players around him for lack of assists. This is a massive part of his game that he needs to work on alongside his finishing.

yes his goal return was good but they came in 13 matches, he didn’t score in 25 other games and in those he didn’t make any assists either.

the argument of 16 goals is the only thing you go back to but ignore the context around it, some of those goals he scored 2-3 in 1 match.
