"DCL is only going to get better" is nothing more than a myth.

Ended the season with 5 goals in his last 22 PL matches; 8.63 goals in 38 matches ~projected~
Started off the season with 11 goals in his first 11 PL matches; 38 goals in 38 matches ~projected~

Totally unreliable. Put all of your eggs in his basket all you want, he has been incredibly wasteful & inconsistent.
Has he improved from the season before? And the season before that? Certainly did. And whilst he petered out hard towards the end of the season I don't think he can be blamed too much for that. However, there aren't many strikers who get zero service and can still score at a prolific pace. It's no coincidence that once Rodriguez and Richarlison went off the boil so did DCL.

I'm not saying don't get a back-up striker but to say he's a waste of space like some people on here are saying just isn't true.

There's some Wham being posted here on DCL - our new Manager will be lucky to keep him as imo he would walk into ant top four side ATM including the champions ......
Well he certainly thinks we are only a stepping stone so that is you and him. Top four eh? He would not get a game at any of the clubs above us bar Arsenal and possibly Leeds.

We seem to do well with strikers but never can keep hold of them, Linekar, Rooney, Lukaku all rose to fame while with us and all poached, all considered world class, I fear the same will happen with Dom after this season or the next
