Kane is a great player, the season has taken its toll. He was a passenger after 25 mins. DCL should tell him not to waste his valuable time in future. Bit unfair because Southgate is actually doing very well but his Kane fixation cost us the match in my opinion. About 1.5hrs with only ten men making a contribution

I disagree, a couple of times England (in particular Sterling) got into great positions to flash it across the 6 yd box only to see Kane still trudging it up from midfield.

I' d have liked th we team to have played a game that meant we could have brought him on and tried to turn the Italians round higher up the pitch, for such an attacking squad, that was poor

Exactly. If Kane is supposed to be 'one of the best strikers in the world' why is he always so far behind the play? At one point yesterday Mount became our furthest forward player. I suspect that Kanes bolt may be pretty close to being shot.
