I’m not a fan of DCL & never have been, I don’t think he’s good enough for what we want long term (hopefully proved wrong). As an Everton player I hope he does well and I’ll eat my words if his form continues but I just don’t see it.

For me his finishing is poor and he is useless with the ball at his feet. Great header of the ball though & a top goal at Spurs (credit where due). 3 poachers goals against WBA, maybe that’s his role going forward more of a poacher. I just never feel confident going into a game with him as our main striker. He isn’t the type to create something himself or out of nothing.

All opinions and hopefully his form continues. Let’s see.

One of my colleagues wrote this today. If you're into stats and stuff.
He probably felt forced to come wide and other areas of the pitch because our midfield was so non existent to collect the ball and try to start something, Now we have people like Allan and Doucoure and then Rodriguez to supply the stuff he can pretty much just lurk the box all game.

Gonna have to give you the patented Carlo raised eyebrow for this comment. Pathetic.

Spurs are big, constantly in top 6. Also seem to remember Dom didn’t do too badly against them all last season, scoring against United, City, Chelsea and Arsenal

Would you rather play spurs or Man City, spurs or the RS, spurs or Chelsea, spurs or Man U, spurs or Arsenal.

If your answer isn’t spurs for each one of those, we disagree. To clarify, by big boys I actually meant the likely league challengers (Man City or RS).

The next will be he has to do it at international level.

the scoring against the big boys thing is rubbish.

All strikers will struggle to score against those teams. All of them. Their record will be nowhere near as good against the top 6 relative to everyone else.

it’s why they are top 6 ffs.

I dont get this hopefully he'll prove me wrong thing tbh mate. I see it from a lot for people who just won't see that he has already proven you wrong. Since Ancelotti has come in he has 12 goals in 22 games, thats over a 1 in 2 record meaning over the course of a full season hes looking at close to 20 goals in the Premier league alone.

And as for the other side of his game that he offers as well as the goals, he's brilliant. Holds the ball up really well, is a proper pain in the arse for defenders and his link play in general is good and always improving. Add to that hes a hard worker and a credit to the club. There aren't many striker with his blend of power, pace and reach which makes him really interesting.

Not to fully go off on you mate but it just feels like people are waiting for his form to fall off a cliff so they can come back with the ridiculous "championship player" shouts.
