You don't want a tap in merchant? I do, it means we're scoring goals.

Im not fussed aslong as the goals go in - but when you have a player of Richarlison's quality who can score all kinds of top quality goals he's more likely to get more rope from the fans than a player who's more one dimensional.

Thats because Richarlison isnt a tap in merchant...

But you were criticizing Dom for missing easy chances, Here's a few select quotes...

When he's scored 5 goals next season you'll still here his disciples:

BUBUBU 15 GOALS LAST SEASON DOH M8

The ultimate way to judge a CF is by their goals/finishing ability and DCL over 3 years is average in that regard.

He can head a ball? So can Andy Carroll/ Troy Deeney.

He works hard? So does Shane Long

He is a nice lad? So is Steven Naismith

sell now as he'll never get 15 goals in a season again

Delighted now the midfield has been sorted so there are no more excuses for him missing easy chances.

Most over rated player by the fans that I can remember.

The vaults will be glorious.

And perhaps your funniest quote of all:

I know my football

This thread is gas and sums GOT up to a tee :) Don't ever change :) 4 in 2 games for DOM so if he doesn't hit 20 goals this season id say hel be disappointed himself. The big tap in merchant hanging around the 6 yard box. Who would have thought !

I dont get this hopefully he'll prove me wrong thing tbh mate. I see it from a lot for people who just won't see that he has already proven you wrong. Since Ancelotti has come in he has 12 goals in 22 games, thats over a 1 in 2 record meaning over the course of a full season hes looking at close to 20 goals in the Premier league alone.

And as for the other side of his game that he offers as well as the goals, he's brilliant. Holds the ball up really well, is a proper pain in the arse for defenders and his link play in general is good and always improving. Add to that hes a hard worker and a credit to the club. There aren't many striker with his blend of power, pace and reach which makes him really interesting.

Not to fully go off on you mate but it just feels like people are waiting for his form to fall off a cliff so they can come back with the ridiculous "championship player" shouts.

All opinions football isn’t it? For me I’d prefer a different type of forward. I don’t see what you see which is fine. I don’t see his power or pace.

I’m not waiting for him to fail, I genuinely hope he succeeds and proves me wrong.

Just my opinion, not sure you can have one in this place though

As i say I didn't want you to feel like I was going off on you in particular, apologies if that's how it came off.

Its more a general point with some people in this thread.

This season will show us if he’s good or not.

Will be interesting what he does against the big boys

Why?

He's obviously 'good'. He's 23 and growing season by season. Has pace, strength and is great in the air.

Obviously has a lot to work on but he's now scored 19 goals in all comps since the start of last season.
