Yet Carlo finishing 10th 2 places lower than Fat SAM who he replaced - no uproar - yet the no 9 who was rated by a large group of posters as a pure championship player kept us out of relegation trouble ......

Yet again I read two posters doing him down the banks before he has kicked a ball..... they know who they are ..... pathetic .....

I was guilty of these shouts myself and although improved massively and had a great season last year, I'm still not convinced he's a 20 goal a season man consistently.
I would love to be wrong.

I was guilty of these shouts myself and although improved massively and had a great season last year, I'm still not convinced he's a 20 goal a season man consistently.
I would love to be wrong.

Realistically he's a 10-15 a season forward. Hopefully we can rinse Utd for £80+ million next summer if Cavani leaves as it would wipe our FFP worries clean and with proper recruitment we could bring in 4-5 ballers to rebuild the squad.

I dont see him anywhere near UTD to be honest, i dont see anyone above us wanting or needing him. If he gets another 20 this season then yeah but im not convinced he can.

Only something like 3 goals in the second half of the season by bambi joey, maybe he’s the reason we ended up finishing 10th

There's literally a handful of players who manage it consistently. Bit unfair to put that expectation on him when we are a mid table club.

I don't dislike him at all but our team seems to be getting structured around him and he doesn't fill me with confidence as a finisher. There's talk of him on here going to bigger clubs for obscene amounts of money and i just don't see it. Granted he had good season last year but lets not get ahead of ourselves on thinking we have the next Harry Kane.
Like ive said would love to be wrong but the jury's still out for me.

Great point this. Had the team's entire play structured around him, and his non-delivery meant that results suffered.

Think he is a real problem to be honest.

Few times he missed absolute sitters towards the backend of the season that would’ve given us the points, struggles if it’s not put on a plate for him

And that's it - I think he'd been given the nod that he'd be a team cheerleader at the Euros, so he'd already metaphorically packed his Gucci manbag. Not a good sign.

5 in 15 (as he missed 4 games in the back 19).

Yeah, not as good as the start, but don't make up stats to make it worse than it is.

Let's not forget how awful the football was in the second half of the season. We were hardly playing free flowing football were we? It's also hardly a surprise that when the team went crap and got hammered by injuries, he went off the boil as we dropped deeper to try and see out draws or scrape 1 nil wins.
