The most important job on the pitch is to score goals. That role is predominantly the strikers responsibility. You can’t win a game without scoring and he fulfilled his primary responsibility.
He also did all of the things you mentioned but that’s not a primary part his job. Look at what he’s been asked to do this season, relative to last season.
He’s been asked to player closer to goal, focus on one touch finishes and not do as much outside of the box.
He’s doing exactly what he’s been asked to do.
Was he perfect? No. But I wouldn’t expect him to be every game.

I'm not the one piping up to someone who's done nothing but praise Dom ever since he's been at the club.
I say he was poor because we were pinned in for nearly the entire second half and everyone loses their minds.
Learnt my lesson here. Instead of trying to have an opinion I'll just nod and say he was 10 out of 10. Smh.

Yeah I'm sure Carlo was thrilled that he was losing out on the majority of the balls that were played to him in an attempt to relieve the immense pressure we were on in that second half.
Did he score? Obviously, but I still think he could do more when it comes to holding it up in that game. I base this off the fact its one of the strongest points of his game, as he showed in the last 5 minutes or so.

Last season everyone was saying DCL has everything you want in a centre forward except goals.
This season people are arguing he only has goals and nothing else.
The lad has had a cracking start to the season, can’t we just enjoy that?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that he was outstanding today. But I think anyone would be hard pressed to argue he isn't flying at the moment. He's playing a much simpler role and isn't wasting energy tear arsing across the back four to press everybody and he's reaping the rewards.
I think he was a victim today of the whole team getting pegged back and being up there completely on his own. I would argue as well (on a different topic) that weren't under immense pressure, the goal keeper didn't have a save to make. I think the defense did really well against avery pacy, skilful attack. Was quite impressed with Palace today.
He scored V an unbeaten team .......in the 2nd half he leapt like a salmon on a corner headed well but I think it hi Keen's back off his head & took the power of his attempt out of another goal for him ... add to that he & Rhico led the line DCL in particular held the ball well in the 2nd half when our midfield fell back he links the midfield he % Rhico will destroy teams this season with that midfield ....
They fed on scraps last season............. but the DCL haters would not have it .......anyone playing in last seasons team would have struggled upfront -
