I’ve always thought he’s only really good at one touch finishes anything else he struggles with and to be a top centre forward you need to do all of it.

Getting on the end of crosses today was a zero he just seems miles off it doesn’t he? seem a yard or two off the pace, wasn’t making many runs, wasn’t challenging for headers, but walking around with his head down from the first 5 minutes, wasn’t closing down, jogging about, hold up play was non existent. Absolutely terrible, we can’t have players doing this when we are in the relegation battle. You either want to fight or you don’t. He had no fight at all in him today.

If he doesnt do his job away from home the team cant function properly. We couldn't get up the pitch because he barely won a challenge all day. He's been out a long time but now he needs to make up for lost time and that was a terrible effort. Like a 3 out of 10 if I'm being generous.

I'm not happy with that level of performance for an Everton centre forward. If others are happy then fine, but my standards are obviously higher. Southampton centre backs will go home thinking thats the easiest they've had it all year.

I don’t have a boner for him, just recognising the actual issues and not making crap up for agendas

No agenda from me, sadly for DCL he had a Jelavic style purple patch and that's about it. No doubt there's been an improvement in his game but he's still just an average player, like many in our squad. This comes from someone that previously had high expectations of him and hope he'd become a top class striker.

As for Gomes, he wanders about just hoping nobody picks up on the blag that he's George Weahs cousin.

Think we're gonna need him to find some form to stay in the league. Right now we've got the DCL of two years ago and that is no use whatsoever.
