Ill be honest, I thought he did well. Was a constant threat, thought there was little else he could do but aim through the legs, admittedly he could have chipped the keeper for the other chance but plenty of strikers miss those. Was impressed with his movement and positioning.

One-on-ones aren't his strength but people expect him to score every chance he gets. If he was that good, or any striker was, they'd be scoring at Messi levels.

Fact of the matter is that he plays for a side who've been crap for a while now and he's scored five less than supreme slotter Harry Kane since the start of last season.

He's a quality striker for our level, there are much more pressing concerns in this side than him, get off his back you losers.

The word clinical is overused in my opinion.
If you've a striker who converts more than half of the chances he gets then that's pretty good. DCL certainly didn't do that today.

It's basically meaningless. Only five players scored more goals than he did in the league last season, he scores goals that others simply can't and has developed into one of the best poachers in the country. He's pretty much been a one in two striker over the last 18 months, which is pretty good going at a team finishing 12th and 10th in those seasons.

I get that it's disappointing when a player misses a big chance, but people on her act like Kane/ Salah etc never have shots saved. It's a bit tedious.

Nice pen , hit it well giving the keeper no chance. Should of done better with one of those chances in the second half.

He is very wasteful. Some strikers are like that. I think we'll have to accept that with DCL.

I suppose the upside of that is that if he ever did start slotting a higher percentage of chances he'd be snapped up by a CL regular outfit.

It's a fine line we tread in that respect.
