It’s like he’s mistiming his jumps when he’s going for the ball and being out jumped by the smaller guy. Is it fitness or does he need to go to spec savers? Seriously though, right now we are creating more when he isn’t up front with Richie, he needs to start on the bench.
 

Always thought the club will never go far with him as the leading striker. Hit a vein of form for a small period of time where everything went his way, then went back to being primarily pony. Would have bitten a hand off if the £70 mil rumours were true.

I wondered even last season why he was lacking timing. Its alright having a very good leap - as he has, but it's bleedin useless mistimed. Surely it's a basic pre-requisite for a tall striker to manage this .... then again, the basics seem to be missing from the rest of the eejits too.

Yeh it's just something he hasn't learned to do, I'm assuming it can be learned. It's not always an issue because his leaps and hang time are pretty amazing but he could certainly be better at it.

Guess it's the same with defenders who are aerially weak because they can't position better.
 
He has been missing for a big part of the season and then comes back into a team low on confidence and form and is expected to save our season.

I think he is suffering from unrealistic expectations as much as anything... he will come good.

That is a possibility, I just don't think Arsenal would pay the kind of money we would want.

I think Richarlison is nailed on to leave and that may generate enough money to create a transfer fund and improve our FFP situation.

I think Mina, Gomes and possibly Allan could go as well.
Iwobi as well if a buyer could be found.
 

been a huge backer of this lad, his attitude in the last year has been poor, very very poor. It was his best attribute - now its going to be his undoing. Get the fee agreed now.
 
I don’t see Arsenal coming in for him tbh. They are a ball playing team. Maybe Newcastle if they want to look like they are upgrading on Wood.

I’m not sure we can criticise his attitude tbh, it feels like he’s not fit and has had six months or so of nagging injuries.

Maybe that’s his fault for not training right but I see him trying his hardest when he’s playing… he’s just not pulling it off the way he was before.

He also had Digne, James and Sigurdsson putting balls in the box last season… who’s supplying him now?

I'm generally not one for criticising people's attitudes and I have no idea what his finess levels are like at the moment but I wasn't impressed with the way he looked on Monday. He just didn't seem to be willing to put himself about or battle for things. Whether it's him not wanting to or not being able to, we really can't afford to have a striker who isn't giving defenders a rough ride at the moment, it's the absolute least we need from him.

He's not expected to save our season, he's expected to put a shift in. Something he hasn't done at all
