I don't recall anyone laughing at Dyche
Because Dyche actually trains a lot on defense, and how we laughed ata him and his so called mediocre management skills. We wanted full attack, beautiful milan 1995 football and thought keane was the next Maldini and DCL somehow got the idea he is the next Inzaghi

No maybe you didnt but I remember after sacking Benitez a lot of noise here was around for his woeful no possesion style counterplay and we need more fight and attack and blablablabla, no of course we dont want dyche/allardyce, we want hollywood football.

Personally I’m just glad @Joey66 had seen the error in his ways and had offered me a grovelling apology, there was no need to grovel and I don’t like to see a grown man so broken, I’m just glad he can now move on. God bless you Joey x

Dcl, we can now both agree, is pants.

They will have a few targets, but reports I have seen down here suggest they see him as too expensive for his output and they have better options they can look at so he is down the list for now.
I don't see DCL ever scoring 30 goals for City as they would have to change the way they play and Pep would never do that. They spent £100m on Grealish and he has had to fit in and adapt to them. I don't see City and Pep ever playing balls out wide and lobbing crosses into the 6 yard box for DCL.
I feel sorry for him in a way as he is the type of player who just doesn't really fit into the way a lot of the modern teams want to play, its nobodies fault it is just circumstances.
City wouldn't have to change the way they play mate.

Look at how City score the vast majority of their goals/create their chances. They're cut backs across the face of goal. It's been like that through Guardiola's entire stay there. There's so many times they do it and there's no striker out there. They did about 8 the other night in the first half alone.

You're falling into the trap that Benitez lulled everyone into and our fans bought into - that DCL needs high crosses into the area. He doesn't. They're so much harder to score from for one mate. He's a poacher who has very good positioning in that box. Which is why he'd work at City, and because he wouldn't need to start every game.

They'd actually have to change their type of play a lot more if they got Haaland than DCL, because Haaland is a player who thrives on the counter-attack , running into space.

DCL won't end up at City, he's more likely to wind up at Newcastle at this stage or Arsenal, obviously. But this idea that the service he needs is whipped crosses frustrates me so much. Because - and I'll go a bit statty here - the xG from a header 10 yards out is a lot less than the xG from chances like Burnley's scorers got yesterday.

I think a lot of people would have taken Dyche. We don't want Hollywood football at all. Lazy post

We just want a team that works hard and doesn't make stupid errors.

You sound like you are talking about a totally different player so Im going to agree to disagree mate.

How?

Look at the half of the goals DCL scored last year mate. tell me where they were scored from...

At least half were drilled cut-backs/low crosses from 5-15 yards next to the goal on the byline, back into the six-yard box or that area.

The other half were crosses from set-pieces/open play that he'd get to the back post and use his aerial ability but they are a lot tougher to finish.

What we saw last night was a masterclass in how to mark yourself out of the game. Stand on the defender's toes, don't follow the path of the ball if it goes to wide to receive it down the line, don't come short to get involved, don't run in behind to stretch them and give room for a teammate to run into, duck under ever ball knocked up to you.

Honestly, I don't know if the rumours that Richarlison and get him don't get on are true but if I was Richy I would have been punching lumps out of this big dope at full time. Richarlison is a crap player as well but the effort that he put in compared to Calvert-Lewin last night was night and day.

We suffered years of years of very consistent game time in the delusion of 'potential. Only to get a half season pianoforte him after 5 years.
Fully agree with this. The start of the downfall of the club was around the time he became our front man. I remember he was played out wide for something like 11 games at first and I couldnt understand what he was offering. We blew money on other positions we didnt need to but didnt invest money in a front man as we put all our chips on dcl. The casino won.

We are some state of a club.

I could be wrong but I think he knows that with such a poor season on his part, injuries or not, and especially if we get relegated, he’s taking a massive pay cut wherever he ends up signing. I’m sure that is very sickening for him. To me he has given up.
